Acupuncture

Energy Medicine

Acupuncture is without a doubt the best-known branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We can define it as an ancient science-art of regulating the body's energy.
The acupuncturist's job is to detect energy disturbances and their causes, and then restore blood and energy circulation, clearing blockages or increasing energy flow where it is lacking.
For this, the acupuncturist can make use of thin needles introduced selectively at specific points located along the energy paths (meridians), thus correcting the disturbances at various levels reflexively.

In which disorders is Acupuncture most effective?
As Acupuncture is the energy medicine par excellence, it will be a useful intervention in any situation. However, in practice, it was found that there are energy dysfunctions where its application is more advantageous, situations recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization).
Thus, by balancing Yin and Yang energy, based on certain parameters (rigorous analysis of pulses, tongue and other objective signs aiming at a personalized assessment), very satisfactory results are obtained in situations such as:

  • Pain:

    • Headache: migraines, trigeminal neuralgia,...

    • Rheumatic Pain: arthritis, arthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, joint pain in general, sciatica, neuralgia, tendinitis,  etc...

    • Back pain: neck pain, lumbagos, back pain, herniated discs, etc...

  • Nervous system: fragility of the central nervous system, minor depressions, neurasthenia, distress, agitation, nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, emotional tension
